I heard some interviews at his funeral and many who professed to be liberal Democrats were there to honor this Republican.<br><br>When Nixon resigned, I was a teenager and babysitting for a five-year-old nephew. When his cartoons were interrupted by YET ANOTHER airing of Nixon's weepy resignation speech, he sighed and groaned. "Not again."<br><br>I asked him if he knew what was going on.<br><br>"Sure," he said. "The president got in trouble for lying. So we got a new one now.
